The Capital Market Authority is the federal markets regulator for onshore UAE. It replaced the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) on 1 January 2026 and took over its licenses. Brokers that market to and serve UAE residents onshore need a CMA license, and some hold only a limited category, such as introduction and consultation, while a separate entity issues the trading product.
