AvaTrade is one of the longest-running retail brokers, with licenses on four continents. For our readers it splits two ways. UAE residents can deal with Ava Trade Middle East Ltd, licensed in Abu Dhabi Global Market. Traders elsewhere in Asia and the Gulf are typically onboarded by Ava Trade Markets Ltd in the British Virgin Islands.
Is AvaTrade regulated?
Yes, more widely than most brokers we cover. AvaTrade’s regulation page lists entities licensed by the Central Bank of Ireland, ASIC in Australia, the FSCA in South Africa, Japan’s FSA, the BVI Financial Services Commission and ADGM’s Financial Services Regulatory Authority (license 190018). Independent broker databases give the BVI license as SIBA/L/13/1049, which dates the BVI license to 2013.
The BVI is tier 3 in our model, and that’s the entity behind the regulation score, since it serves most of our readers.
AvaTrade in your country
- UAE: AvaTrade holds an FSRA license in Abu Dhabi Global Market, a tier-2 regulator. Check that your client agreement names Ava Trade Middle East Ltd.
- India: AvaTrade is on the Reserve Bank of India’s Alert List. We don’t link to brokers from our India pages.
- Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Malaysia: no local license found; clients are typically onboarded by the BVI company.
Costs, platforms and withdrawals
We haven’t yet captured AvaTrade’s published spreads or withdrawal times from its own pages, so it has no entry in The Log yet and those scores sit mid-range.
Who AvaTrade suits
AvaTrade is one of the stronger options for UAE residents, thanks to its ADGM license and long track record. Elsewhere in our region, you’ll most likely trade with the BVI company, with the lighter protection that comes with it.
