Vantage Review

Vantage Markets review for traders in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Malaysia: the Mauritius entity behind its global site, account costs, insurance, regulator alerts and our score.

Seen from the UAE, Vantage operates through VIG Group, licensed in Mauritius, with insurance cover up to USD 1 million per claim. Raw ECN commissions from USD 3 per side are competitive. It does not serve India and is on the Securities Commission Malaysia alert list.

Which Vantage entity will you sign up with?

Your protection depends on the entity that opens your account, not on the strongest license in the group. This is who serves each region, taken from the broker's legal disclosures and checked on the regulator's register where one is published. Every source is listed at the end of the review.

Vantage, formerly Vantage FX, started in Australia and still holds ASIC and FCA licenses. Traders in Asia and the Gulf don’t get those. Viewed from the UAE, Vantage’s website names VIG Group, licensed in Mauritius, as the company behind the brand.

Is Vantage regulated?

The global vantagemarkets.com site states that VIG Group, trading as Vantage Markets, is a full-service investment dealer licensed by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius under license GB20026165. Mauritius is tier 3 in our model. Vantage’s help centre also lists companies in the Cayman Islands (CIMA) and Vanuatu (VFSC) that serve international clients, so the entity named on your client agreement is the one that counts.

Two points in Vantage’s favour: it says VIG Group carries excess-of-loss insurance arranged through Willis Towers Watson, covering up to USD 1,000,000 per claim subject to the policy terms, and it’s a member of The Financial Commission, an independent dispute resolution body. Neither is the same as a government compensation scheme, but they’re more than most offshore brokers offer.

Vantage in your country

  • India: Vantage’s global site lists India among the countries it doesn’t serve. Vantage Markets is also on the Reserve Bank of India’s Alert List.
  • Malaysia: the Securities Commission Malaysia added Vantage to its investor alert list in 2021 for operating without an SC license.
  • UAE, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan: no local license found; clients deal with the Mauritius company.

Who Vantage suits

Vantage suits active traders in the Gulf, Pakistan and Malaysia who want low raw-account commissions and TradingView access, with insurance cover that most offshore brokers lack. Indian residents aren’t served, and Malaysian residents should note the SC alert.
